MDBT50Q Module Series Mass Production has completed, customers who are interested in nRF52840 solution may contact with service@raytac.com for further information.
Raytac’s MDBT50Q module deploy Nordic nRF52840 is a Bluetooth 5 (BLE), Zigbee and Thread (802.15.4) modular solution and is an advanced multi-protocol SoM with anARM® Cortex™-M4F CPU and featured built-in USB and 5.5V compatible DC/DC supply.
The compact size 10.5 x 15.5 x 2.0 (2.2)mm incorporates 48 GPIO, integrated various antenna types option (Chip Antenna, PCB antenna, u.FL connector) provides developers flexibility to meet most IoT Application Demanding, Connectivity Range Requirement, BOM Cost Saving, Designs Simplifying, and Time-TO-Market Efficiency.
With strong demand for AT command module coming up from markets, here provides an easy introduction about hardware and software setup work for Raytac’s AT command module demo board for quick start.
After AT Command Module, MDBT42Q-PAT, released, Raytac has received several feedback from developers about “How to read battery status through AT command?“
In order to help developers quickly set up the environment, the tutorial hereby is using a AT command DK board which deployed MDBT42Q-AT, to demonstrate how to work out this function.
First of all, the DK board schematic is provided in below for reference.
nRF52810 AT-Command Evaluation DK Board is a multifunction hardware design for several applications.
Not only a AT-Command Peripheral (Slave) role released recently, but also Central (Master) role deployed Nordic nRF52832 & nRF52840 Solution in the near future.
nRF52 series SoC has below features rather than nRF51
1. nRF52 supports Longer Package MTU
(500 Bytes for Baudrate 9600 / over 10K for 115200 or 230400)
2. nRF 52 has over 10 times higher transmission speed than nRF51
3. nRF52 only needs 1/10 (or less) transmission time than nRF51
Raytac has been hearing from developers about the demand of AT command over UART service based on Nordic Solution.
Learnt from customers’ feedback, Raytac realized that Long Package MTU is the recent critical demand for all customers and IoT applications.
As such, Raytac hardware team has selected Nordic nRF52810 solution , powered by firmware design team to develop a coming AT Command Over UART Service Solution.
The features of the AT Command Over UART solution not only brings a cost effective module, but an easy and user familiar method enables an easy and time-to-market efficiency.
