Developers love to use smaller module in order to fit in maximum kinds of implement and applications.
Nordic’s nRF52805 is a BT5.2 solution features an ARM Cortex M4 MCU with 24KB RAM and 192K Flash Memory, an idea solution to fulfill the applications which only need simple Bluetooth function but cost constrained budgetary.
Raytac has developed 2 module lines, MDBT42T & MDBT42TV, employed nRF52805 with different antenna options for customer election. All the modules have Bluetooth BT5.2 qualification granted, FCC/IC/CE/Telec/KC/SRRC/NCC pre-certified. A well RF designed module with completed coverage of certification offer an advantage to speed up time to market efficiency and minimal the BOM cost.
Raytac would like to announce Product Change Notice (PCN-20120101) for modules built by nRF51822 SoC (Version 3) includes part no.: MDBT40-256V3 / MDBT40-256RV3/ MDBT40-P256V3 / MDBT40-P256RV3.The major description of this PCN is refer to the update of marking on the shielding case.
Apart from the appearance change herein, there is no further function, quality or safety regulation is affected.
Raytac today introduces that Bangalore, India based partner and solution provider, Atoll Solutions Pvt Ltd., has released a BLE beacon feathers way-finding, tour-guide, environment sensing, motion sensing and asset tracking.
Atoll’s BLE beacon deploy Raytac’s MDBT42Q series of modules which employ Nordic nRF52X deliver the ideal platform to for building low-power & long-life BLE beacons. The beacons are available for B2B customers in a variety of form factors e.g. lanyard hook and tile. The beacons are built to be robust, and have been tested as a part of the Atoll Kinesis indoor location tracking platform.
“Raytac Bluetooth module provides an optimal and stable RF efficiency which easy the hardware design resource Atoll need. The compact size, stable quality and pre-certified modules also offer an advantage to speed up time to market efficiency and minimal the BOM cost.” says Jithu Niruthambath, Co-Founder & CEO at Atoll Solutions.
Raytac announced both MDBT50Q-512K & MDBT50Q-P1M modules has extended the ambient temperature up to 105°C, following Nordic’s nRF52833’s specification.
Unlike a single component like SoC, modules acted as an integrated equipment which includes some other related components. To secure the module works under the latest environment request while Nordic nRF52833 released, Raytac ensured all related components meet the new temperature requirement with RF efficiency secured.
Today, we are pleased to announce nRF52833 modules:
MDBT50Q-512K: Chip Antenna
MDBT50Q-P512K: PCB Antenna
Both have successfully extended ambient temperature to 105°C which are the most ideal devices for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications.

Standing on marketing perspective point of view, iPhone user are often been viewed as a higher contribution margin group. Not only talking about consumer behavior, but also the motivation looking for device integrated with their own iOS devices. That explains why HomeKit devices recently has been widely spreading out in Apple stores or shops.
Wireless technology, says Bluetooth or WiFi, is the key role to connect between devices for Apple HomeKit implements. Surely, Bluetooth is more applicable than WiFi, not only easier to connect to iOS devices but also much lower power consumption and higher security level to rich consumer’s experience.
Raytac has been devoting to Bluetooth Low Energy module development for several years, started from BT4.0 to the latest. Raytac modules has selected Nordic’s solution, which is a highly optimized solution running HomeKit Accessory Protocol (HAP) and application firmware. The ultra-low power even enhance the design and usability for HomeKit devices implements.
After MFi Licenses program jointed, Nordic nRF5 HomeKit SDK is capable to access, Raytac expects to escalate the support ability in terms of hardware and firmware aspects for all customers who are interested in Apple HomeKit implements.
